Acrylex is a unique and addictive puzzle game where blocks of different colors fall from the top of screen until they reach the bottom. Blocks will stack up vertically until they reach the ceiling, at which time the game ends, and restarts.
You may avoid reaching the ceiling by grouping three blocks of the same color, or combinations of related colors (using color theory). A point is then added to your score, and the group of blocks disappear.
The color combinations in Acrylex are based on the mixing of colors that occurs with different kinds of paint, such as Acrylic paint. Acrylex accepts the following color combinations:
Red, Yellow, Orange
Blue, Red, Violet
Green, Blue, Turquoise,
Blue, Yellow, Green
Green, Yellow, Lime
Any 3 blocks of the same color
During the game rainbow blocks and crooked blocks with may fall. A rainbow block falls whenever a correctly combined group of blocks share the same border color (primary colors red, green, blue), and at random times throughout the game. A rainbow blocks can be used to complete any color combination. In addition, a rainbow block is the only block which can eliminate a crooked block.
The objective of Acrylex is to earn as many points as possible. It is essential to master the different color combinations, and create "rainbow" blocks as often as possible, and use rainbow blocks to create even more rainbow blocks by matching borders to accomplish this goal.
